I know that a lot of you have patches in Bugzilla that have been there for some days/weeks and haven't been touched. I told the committers to stop doing anything except stuff marked as blocking-open-beta way back on April 15th while we pushed up to the Open Beta launch.

Anyway, now that that is past us, we're starting to review and commit things again. You should start to see things move again!

Thanks for your patience. :)

I'm working on an update to Evan Martin's LogJam client to support the metadata and tag changes on Dreamwidth. I have it mostly ready to go, apart from a few site-specific issues like the cut and user tags, but I'm running into a problem with prop_xpost_check. When I submit a test post that attempts to set the prop_xpost_check property, the submission fails with an 'invalid metadata' error. Is the auto-crossposting feature intended to be usable by remote clients, or is it available only when submitting through the web interface?

Heya folks,

I've got a social posting script (for aggregating other stuff into an LJ post, historically) that I was noodling with making it work with DW. (First step: throw out the ljrb library for Ruby, which hardcodes the Livejournal URL in requests. Sigh. But I digress.)

While noodling, I tried, as an example, the "getfriends" mode on the interface/flat API, and lo and behold, it told me I was friendless. Cheeky. But upon second thought, logical, since DW did away with the friends thing in favor of access and subscriptions. However... I have no clue how to get to that information, if indeed I even can, through said API.

In summary: any clues?

Thanks,

R
