Code tour, March 09 - March 16

Hello, this is Yvi, doing another code tour for the interested laypeople and beyond :) Last week, we had a pretty quiet week because people are working on awesome, big projects and such we only have 7 resolved bugs this week, 6 of which are in Styles.


Bug 11: Allow community maintainers to disable comments on entries

Description: I admit, this is the reason I volunteered. Because I want to gloat and denise gave me permission to do so. This bug has the number 11 and has been in the bug tracker since July 10, 2008. It's not a bug, but an enhancement: if things get too hot in the comments to an entry community maintainers can disable comments. This setting can be overridden by the entry poster (and their edit takes precedence: a community maintainer cannot disable them again after the poster enabled them again or enable comments when the poster has disabled them).

Description: We could finally close the NaNoWriMo 2009 style bug, which added themes for all styles (which all went live several weeks ago, so you didn't miss anything there).

Bug 2183: Keep 'link' in the entry management links at all times, not just before comments

Bug 2419: Themes: Tehotenion and Shadow Boxing (Transmogrified)

Bug 2432: Clean Crossroads layout.s2 to remove superfluous code

Description: ninetydegrees did some lovely code cleanup in the Styles code. Removing unneeded lines, fixing spelling errors, that sort of thing. Always good to have clean code!

Bug 2439: Blanket: comment background CSS hardcoded to white

Description: The comment background in the Blanket layout was hardcoded, meaning that it couldn't be changed through the wizard. Now it can be changed.

Bug 2440: Clean Crossroads themes.s2 and crossroads.pm to remove superfluous code
