I have (probably futile) hopes of keeping an internet connection long enough to write and post a news update sometime this weekend -- can someone do a code tour?

Ursie and I are making vague code tour noises. I'll check back here before commencing; might have the brain after a nap. Since it's a big one, it may be easiest to do it in week-at-a-time chunks or something.
