From what mark told me in a dev thread from way back (God I'm so out of touch, stupid life always popping up) DW isn't "ready" for 9.10. I rolled back to 9.04 and most of the peculiarities cleared away.

I also went from 32bit to 64bit server, that might have also contributed.
