This is wonderful! (And I have to say, DW is a hundred times more babydev-friendly than any other OSS project I've ever lurked on the edges of without quite figuring out what I was supposed to be doing!)

That is entirely our aim! We want to build our own next generation of contributors, and we really want to make it easy and painless to learn to program with us, even if the codebase is really complex. (The good part of having the complex codebase: there are tons of little minor projects.)
