My last class for my Master's in Women and Gender Studies is Inequality and New Media. For my final project, I wanted to take a look at Dreamwidth. In the presentation

mark made at LCA, they said that 75% of their coders are women. I'm curious about what factors lead to the increased participation of women in coding, particularly open source projects, where women are historically under-represented. Dreamwidth has been so successful in this way. I'm hoping to use interview data to get at why that may be.

I love to speak with anyone (male, female, or any of the other gender flavors) who has done any coding whatsoever for Dreamwidth. Whatever you tell me will be kept confidential.
