It's time for another question thread!

- You may ask any dev-related question you have in a comment. (It doesn't even need to be about Dreamwidth, although if it involves a language/library/framework/database Dreamwidth doesn't use, you will probably get answers pointing that out and suggesting a better place to ask.)

I'm interested in making a client to post to Dreamwidth. Are there API docs?

So there are two APIs:
1) the XML-RPC API we inherited from LJ, which is old and not under active development. There are some docs on it here and here

2) the new REST API which is under development but that development is me in my free time, and it turns out QA is hard so the process has been... slow. Entry posting is probably a good 80% done but it turns out that last 20% is the hard bit, as usual. You can see beta docs for that here now if you have the canary beta turned on, or after whatever codepush happens next - the changes are merged, but they're not live for all users yet.
