It's time for another question thread!

- You may ask any dev-related question you have in a comment. (It doesn't even need to be about Dreamwidth, although if it involves a language/library/framework/database Dreamwidth doesn't use, you will probably get answers pointing that out and suggesting a better place to ask.)

What's the biggest Dreamwidth feature you're holding off on implementing for (reasons)?

This is not official, just my understanding and how I connect the dots.

At this point, I would say that the Cross-site Authenticated Reading List has been abandoned for good rather than just held off, especially if you consider that LiveJournal is already blocking all API access from Dreamwidth servers and ghosting the owners, so giving them other, likely much more serious, reasons to do that sounds like a Very Bad Idea™. Among the ones that have a chance of happening, getting the new entry posting and editing page out of beta feels the biggest to me. YMMV.

Honestly I think most of the reasons at this point are 1) 'we need more dev/QA people or hours to work on this' or 2) 'staff need to sit and figure out exactly how this should be implemented for it to not be a disaster'. A looooot of stuff is (1) - beta entry page, new API, finishing moving off BML, better interface to the image upload system. The biggest thing I can think of in (2) is the possibility of a (opt-in) kudos/like-style system.

(I am not staff, this is not official calls, but I'm a dev who's done a lot of work on the site and on a lot of those previously-mentioned dev projects XD)
