- You may ask any dev-related question you have in a comment. (It doesn't even need to be about Dreamwidth, although if it involves a language/library/framework/database Dreamwidth doesn't use, you will probably get answers pointing that out and suggesting a better place to ask.)

No, code pushes (is that what you meant by "release"?) occur at irregular intervals, I think when there's enough accumulated changes for one and someone with the access to do one has enough time. They're usually announced in dw_maintenance a few hours to a few days in advance.

Should I wait a bit more for my Dream Hack, or just dive right in? I applied for one about a month ago and still no response. Not trying to be impatient here or anything, just curious.
