It's time for another question thread!

The rules:

- You may ask any dev-related question you have in a comment. (It doesn't even need to be about Dreamwidth, although if it involves a language/library/framework/database Dreamwidth doesn't use, you will probably get answers pointing that out and suggesting a better place to ask.)

Ok, not really DW related, but since people here seem to know a lot about diversity and software development, I'll ask anyway

Out of the blue, I received an invitation to some event called WomenHack, which claims to be an invitation-only diversity-oriented recruitment event... I've never even heard of it, never applied for it, and I'm wondering if this is legit or just spam? It came to an email address I use at LinkedIn.

I never heard of this before either (which isn't overly surprising, given that I'm not in the target demographic), but a quick DDG search on "womenhack" returned https://www.quora.com/Who-has-attended-a-WomenHack-event-Was-it-worth-it , which implies that if it's a scam, it's an elaborate one.
