Well, my goal in this is kind of to make Twitter as unobtrusive as possible, while still easy to follow if you want to - and to put the tweets in slightly more context. But it also has the side effect of making it really easy to avoid seeing anyone's Twitter posts then - read their comment pages in your own style, which is easy to set, and they won't show up at all. And even if they're there, they're not in with the LJ/DW entries.
