Yeah, that's exactly what I'm thinking. If nothing else, I'll post a lightweight XP-ish use-case design spec in this community if I end up putting one together, and that's all about the underlying tech, rather than language-specific implementation - and I'd love to have people look at the first spec, so that problems can be caught before lots of code is written.
