Oh, God, me too.

And, in fact, irc has reminded me that I am a good example of this: When Mark and I started Dreamwidth, the plan was for him to be the lead programmer and sysadmin, and me to be the business and project manager. Except Mark is so good at encouraging people to try code things, and I had so many little things that I was passionate about fixing, and they all seemed so easy, and I wanted to help out with trying to knock the bug count down, and so I thought, hey, I'll just write a patch or two ...

Yeah, I think at our last stats, I was the #4 most active code contributor, in terms of number of commits. And they are all tiny little patches that improve the user interface and the user experience, because they're things that were annoying me, or things I really really wanted. I will likely never have the skills to tackle big huge projects; if nothing else, I will never have the time, what with all the business stuff I need to keep doing. But I care about the little things that I'm doing, and that's why I take the time to do them!
