Is there any reason not to use InnoDB by default?

I just noticed that $LJ::USE_INNODB isn't listed in etc/config*, doc/config*, or cgi-bin/ljdefaults.pl. Before I file a bug, a question: is there any reason why the default/initial/suggested value should remain to the current "don't use it"?

MyISAM is more portable, so some people prefer to use that on their local environments. Generally speaking though, there's no real reason to not do InnoDB that I can think of and I would support standardizing on that.

Something that should be thought about, though, is whether or not we should consider looking at some of the newer engines. InnoDB is somewhat old now, which is not necessarily a bad thing, but another point to consider is that they're owned by Oracle too.
