I had noticed my client in the list, yes. I have had feedback from a few users who use it to post to DW.

The second link is a description of the server-code for the backend. Not what I was looking for -- I want to be able to access these methods through the client API.
Looking at the third link confirms my suspicion that the DW-specific extensions have not been exposed through the client API.
