Sorry that you haven’t received a reply to your support request yet! From a developer standpoint, I’m pretty sure this falls into the category of problems we know about, but haven’t figured out how to fix yet.
To answer your question, though, only developers use the Github system, and site users are definitely encouraged to report issues like this via support request. Support volunteers can then determine if it’s a developer issue or not.
