Firefox addons

I found Server Switcher while on my quarterly extensions trawl tonight, and I thought about the various extensions/add-ons I use regularly for development -- FireBug, Live HTTP Headers, ColorZilla, Web Developer, etc -- and figured: it might be a good idea to collect lists of "recommended" developer addons for those who use Firefox.

So: what are the add-ons that you couldn't work without?

Besides a couple of those you mentioned: Tab Mix Plus, All-in-One Gestures, Open link in..., Open in Browser.

Also Transliterator, but that's more because I'm a language geek than because I'm a developer :)

FireBug, IETab, QuickProxy (for switching between home and work).

Greasemonkey, to automate a couple of tasks so I don't have to click as much on zilla and while testing stuff.

Firebug and web developer are a given.

Hmmm, and those are the ones I can't live without when it comes to dev; the other extensions I have aren't related, or are only tangentially related.

lets me run snippets of code quickly. (Firebug has its own console, but I like the bigger space and lighter feel that this provides, for a quick peek under the hood)

I have nothing unique to add, but just re-iterating the Firebug love, especially the net tab.

My new favorite 'how did I live without?' is Too Many Tabs which lets me stash tabs into groups and bring them back. It doesn't sound quite as awesome as it really is. I love being able to stash rails/gem/plugin documentation in a bar and then pull it out as I need it, leaves my main tab bar free for working with whatever I'm working on, plus Pandora and Gmail.

Specifically for development, I use firebug and the accessibility extension (which I need to test WAI-ARIA live regions, which is what I have been building).

(The rest of them are all my general Firefox usability extensions which I would use even if I weren't developing.)

The developer-related add-ons I use are:

* ColorZilla - lets you get the color of anything on the page by clicking it
* Firebug - does crazy stuff
* IE View - lets you right-click the page you're on, select it, and then that page opens in IE (nice for comparing)
* MeasureIt - lets you measure sizes of different parts of the page, for figuring out margins/paddings/widths/heights
* View Cookies - provides a nice view of all of the cookies for the domain you're on (it puts it in a tab in the Page Info)
* Web Developer - also does crazy stuff

And then the other ones I use that aren't really developer-related:

* Adblock Plus - duh
* BugMeNot - lets you automatically get login info for a site if it exists at bugmenot.com
* DictionarySearch - lets you highlight a word, right-click, and automatically pull up an online dictionary page for that word
* Password Exporter - lets you export/import your saved password list between computers
* Tab Mix Plus - probably my favorite extension ever...provides a lot more tab-related functionality...it's crazy awesome
