I'd like to understand the logic behind automatic comment count refresh not working from a starting number of "0" as described here in the changelog for inline Reading Page commenting that I am hoping will go live soon. (I think that's inline Reading Page commenting. If it's not inline Reading page commenting, I have a spoilers post to correct as needed on my journal).

I'm also curious to know if the new inline commenting will work on my Reading Page with a custom style like my own that has the checkbox for Base CSS unchecked (since I'm kind of confused based on what I'm seeing in that changelog - it seems it might work, but only on some custom layouts and/or might work on all custom layouts but automatic comment count refreshing won't work on any custom layouts - if anyone could please untangle that confusion for me I would be grateful).
