They are not! It's entirely time-related: the longer it's open, the more points it accrues. I think the first jump from 1->2 points is at like, uh, 6 hours? 8 hours? something like that. It gets up to 10 points over like 3 days and then stays there forever and ever, or until it gets answered, whatever comes first. It could be the hardest question in the world, but if it gets answered in the first 6 hours, it's still 1 point. :)

We're still trying to dig out from under a major support backlog and I haven't gotten in to do some shoveling today, but there was an approvable answer on that one, so I took care of it. :)
