It is possible to publish changes on your personal repository when using mercurial on a longer-term basis, but it seems less... natural? supported? Needs more personal initiative, rather than being assumed default to the process? I strongly agree that we need to make it easier to publish incremental changes, without making it a big deal, or putting the onus on the individual developer to set up a more transparent window into their code on their own.
